Hi Teams,

I have one 6424 issue need you help:

A:

When i use 6424 to drive speaker (normal mode), 6424 can output audio single;

B:

When i use 6424 to drive a external amplifier (lineout mode), 6424 can not output audio single.Below are the setup codes of 6424.

I can not understand wether i set the value to register.

Hi,

What's load impedance of external AMP? I think TAS6424 is runing DC load diag and can not pass it, because the impedance if out of range(6K).

Hi Gong,

The external AMP 's Input impedance is 10KΩ, load impedance is 2Ω

In that case, quite possible not able to pass DC load diag.

Have a try to set 0x81 into register 0x09, for line out using.

I had set 0x81 into register 0x09, still NG.

Which parameters should I set to register 0x00 and 0x04?

Please change 0x09 register value to 0x03 to disable auto DC load diag and lineout load diag if connect high impedance external AMP.

Can you give other suggestions?

If I set 0x03 into register 0x09, which parameter should I set into 0x00?

Hi Yunxuan，

Sorry, please set register 0x09 to value 0x01, this is to disable auto DC load diag.

The root cause is external AMP impedance is out of range, so you can disable DC load diag.

If you connect external AMP, please set to Lineout mode. so 0x00 register should be 0x0F.

I no sure whether 6424 was enter protection status, so how can I check this status？

May I use register 0x25？

Register 0x0F could tell you the channel status.

And register 0x10 t0 0x13 could tell you if any Fault or Warning reported.
