descriptor data on PCM2706 self-powered

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: PCM2706

Hello TI support Team,

I made a first USB DAC with PCM2706, it's Bus-powered. I modified Device descriptor data and it's working perfectly.

The sound is good enough for me but sometimes with ASIO4ALL drivers i can heard some 'glitch' (one for about 2 hours of listening).

So I would like to build another one which is self-powered. But from the datasheet :

- PSEL : Power source select (LOW: self-power, HIGH: bus-power)

- A condition of PSEL pin = High and HOST pin = High is needed to modify the descriptor data.

- the descriptor data modification in self-powered configuration (PSEL = Low) is not supported.

It is really impossible to manage to configure device descriptor data in self-powered mode ?

Can we put PSEL High at start up, and PSEL Low after device configuration ?

Thanks for your response,

and thank you for your work.
