PCM179x / Level of current segment

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: PCM1795, PCM1793, PCM1792A, PCM1796, PCM1791A

Hi,

PCM1972A has  67 level of current segment which can be known from Figure 65 of it's datasheet. And also some audio DAC like PCM1973 also has such figure in datasheet and can be known the level.

Then how can we know the level of audio DAC that do not has the figure like it?

For example, how about the level for PCM1975?

Best Regards,

Sonoki

  • Hi,

At first, I would like to correct my typo on part number in my post.

The correct part number are PCM1792A, PCM1793 and PCM1795.

I could confirm the internal block diagram of PCM1791A/93, PCM1792A/94A, PCM1796/98 in your presentation material.

Then I could confirm these devices has the same configuration of current segment and have 67 level of current segment.

However the presentation material has no block diagram for PCM1795 so I have not had no information for it.

Please let me have the information for PCM1795 and also how to know the level of current segment for DACs which has DSD input option.

    Best Regards,

  • Satoshi-san,

The PCM1795 has fewer current segments and a changed digital fitler, so it is not the same.  The diagrams for the other devices are correct however.  Unfortunately more internal info cannot be disclosed for this device.

  • Dear Galvin-San,

Please teach us the level of PCM1795's current segments.

Because our customer must know this spec to adopt  PCM1795 for many application and many model.

  • Dear Galvin-San,

    Let me add our requests.

Please send an e-mail including questions's answer to Mr. Kawasaki of TIJ FAE,

if it is impossible for you to answer  this question in this E2E due to internal info.

  • Dear Galvin-San,

Thank you very much for providing info of this IC.

We could answer the customer's question and explain the detail of this IC to customer with TI-Japan.

    Best Regards,
