Hello,

I have TAS5707A EVM (with MC57xxPSIA board), for which I2C device address is 0x3A sa per datasheet.

While using TAS570x GDE software tool, choosing TAS5707_8, issues device address 0x36(which corresponds to TAS5707 and not TAS5707A).

How do I configure GDE to communicate with TAS5707A?

Please help me solve this issue.

Hi Mahendra,

To update the I2C slave address used by the GDE tool, a simple tweak to create a new "Environment Variable" is all that is needed.

Please refer to the documentation here....http://www.ti.com/lit/an/slaa482/slaa482.pdf . The document uses TAS5717/19 as an example, but equally applies to any TAS57xx device GDE. In your specific case, the environment variable "PPSI2C" would be set to x3A.

Note that the GDE tool should be closed before updating the environment variable.
