TAS5713 Cross Talk

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TAS5713PHPEVM, TAS5713

Hello

My client is evaluating TAS5713; TAS5713PHPEVM.

He  Connect USB, using  TAS5713_GUI_v3.3 build 11 and just shutdown/mute button removed then master vol=0dB.

He did not  get same cross talk value as described in the data sheet.

Conditions;

AD mode, PVDD=12V, 4ohm, Po= 1W 1KHz sin, Audio Precision On=L( orR) , measure R(Or L)

Result

-51dB ( Data sheet p10:  CS=69dB when AD mode )

On the other hand ,he had evaluated  TPA3118 and its CS is 83dB in 1W 1KHz and should be same as data sheet.  So, we think client's

measurement method is correct.

Would you please advise about the check point?    ( Besides, I had checked their setting ;.cfg file but no problem found ( same as defalut )

Hope to have your reply within 3days.

with my best regards

  • Hi, Shibatani-san,

    Sumamasen for the delay...

I will most your post to the Audio Amplifier e2e where the engineers that support this device hang out.

  • Hi Shibatani-san,

The data-sheet spec on Pg-10 is using Po=0.25W, Load-8-ohm, Pvdd=18V. Can you please post thecross-talk sweepplot from the customer's measurement?

Is this test performed on an EVM? What is the audio input source?  Please post the .cfg file for reference as well.

To make sure that any I2C registers are not being incorrectly written, please try hitting the RESET button on the MC57xx controller board (after GUI is connected), to reset the I2C register's & then use the I2C memory tool to write the following three I2C writes (0x1B=x00; 0x05=x00; 0x07=x30) & then re-check the cross-talk sweep.
