TPA2017D2 layout question: connecting the thermal pad to ground

I’m in layout on a board that uses a TPA2017D2 Class D amp. A question came up about connecting the thermal pad to ground. I have looked at the datasheet but I cannot find any info indicating if it’s ok to connect it to ground or to let it float. Can you please look into this for me?

    Hi, Matt,

    Sorry for the delay. We are a little short-handed due to the holiday.

    This pad should be grounded, and for proper thermal operation of the device, MUST have good PowerPAD usage... If you're not familiar with that, see the app note, slma002.
