Hi,all

Please let me ask a question about TAS5717.

When customer make Audio source to TAS5717 via Optical ,audible noise is outputed from AMP output while no sound.

Could you teach me a coping strategy ?

Confirmation procedure is following.

2.Connect Optical signal to TAS5717EVM (then no audible noise)

3.Connect PC to TAS5717EVM via USB(then no audible noise)

4.Release shutdown and mute on GDE(then no audible noise)

5.Sound an audio signal from out (then effectual audio data pass first)

6.Stop audio signal or Mute audio signal by GDE(then audible noise happens. The sound is "sirrrrrrr")

  • Hi, Noda-san,

Is S3 set correctly to accept optical SPDIF?

What if you use other sources? It works fine then, right?

  • Hi,Mr.Don

    Thank you for reply.

S3 is impossible to set due to push switch.

They connect  Pin1 to Pin2 by JP11 and choice OPT input.

Additionally  they choice DOUT-SPDIF by JP4,5 and other source isn't inputed.

The problem is keeping to output a noise called "limit cycle" from D-AMP after playing.

Do you have a idea to solve this problem ?

I am looking forward to your reply.

    Best regards.

  • Hi,Mr.Don

Once I  let customer to confirm an error factor by many procedure , it turned out  that the  noise outputs  when they set the value higher than(0x03C5/-96.625dB) to master volume. After the noise outputs,it seems to keep outputting even if they return volume or mute or stop input signal.

Is there a solution for this problem ? Do you think the device has a problem ?

I am looking forward to your reply.

    Best regards.
