Hi,

We understand that the power supply noise which is superimposed on the input terminal is output to the output terminals depending on the layout of the power line.
Then, we have obtained two evaluation results as below when the power supply noise of 1kHz is superimposed on two terminals of IN1_P and IN2_P.

<Case1 : Crosstalk Enhancement Enabled>
The power supply noise of 1kHz have been output to the output terminals.

<Case2 : Crosstalk Enhancement Disabled>
The power supply noise of 1kHz have not been output to the output terminals.

Could you please tell us why TAS5414C-Q1 works like that?
In addition, could you please send us the gerber data of TAS5414C-Q1 evm if you have it?

Kato-san,

Your questions are a bit confusing. In the first paragraph you discuss Power Supply Noise or PSSR and mix it with Channel to Channel Crosstalk.

PSRR is the ability of the amplifier to reject noise from the Power Supply. PSRR is the Power Supply Rejection Ratio.

Crosstalk it the ability of one channel of the amplifier to reject a signal that is on another channel in the system.

Please clarify your statements so I can properly respond to your question.

Hi Gregg-san,

Thank you for your quick response.
Of course, I understand that the PSRR and the crosstalk are different.
However, I have obtained this result from our customer.
I remembered your advice which I heard from you the other day as below.

"The Crosstalk Enhancement is a function that improves the crosstalk, but also slightly degrades the THD and PSRR performance."

Could you please give me your advice since I don't understand the reason this phenomenon occurs?

Kato-san,

I cannot provide the details on the transistor level circuitry of the TAS5414C-Q1. This is considered TI Intellectual Property (IP). I can only provide that to improve the Crosstalk with the Crosstalk Enhancement function the PSRR and THD performance is slightly worse. I am sorry I cannot provide more details.
