TAS5614A Crossover?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TAS5614A

Hello,

I'm currently involved with a audio project and we chose to use the TAS5614A as our digital amplifier. I was curious if there were any issues with using apply crossover network for the recommended floating output configuration. That way we could use two inputs to handle the pwm.

Thanks,

Jeremy

  • Hi, Jeremy,

Do you have the schematic or a simple sketch to illustrate your idea?

    Thanks.

  • So far this is what we have as far as a design concept. I know it may not be helpful in illustrating my question. We haven’t began circuit construction yet so I don’t have any technical schematics. Essentially, we want a stereo pair with crossover so we can increase the output quality. I have been looking at the technical documents as a reference and I noticed that on each bridge that there is a filter. Is that for smoothing on a dynamic speaker setup? The crossover we intend to implement will be 2nd order with most likely a Zobel network.

    Thanks,

    Jeremy
