TAS5706B availability

Since the TAS5706B is not available within a reasonable lead time(20weeks). Can the TAS5706A be substituted for the TAS5706B in a single ended application? What is different about the TAS5706B that allows it to support SE mode as compared to the TAS5706A?

Hi davejor,

The TAS5706B is recommended for SE applications, whereas the TAS5706A was specifically targeted for BTL mode. Using the TAS5706A in single ended mode will present performace issues such as higher output noise and poor THD vs power. Therefore you should test a TAS5706A on your system to make sure it still meets your specifications. Let me know if you have any further questions.
