TAS5538 Reference Board with PurePath Console

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TAS5558, TAS5538, TAS5352, TAS5624ADDVEVM

Hi all,

I have a TAS5538 reference design board (the one with three TAS5352 Amps) and I've changed the TAS5538 with a TAS5558 as this will be the PWM modulator used in my final design. The board works fine with the "old" software shipped with the board (sloc265, TAS5538 Version 2.1.10(03/09/2012), but so far I didn't managed to get it to work with the newer PurePath Console (v1.16_rev30615). The software just cannot connect to the board.

Is there any way to use this board with the new software? And if not, is there a reference/evaluation board with the TAS5558 with more than 4 output channels, which works with the new PurePath Console?

Regards,
Daniel

  • Hi Daniel,

The reference board as you described will not work with the PurePath Console software.  If you have an initialization file, you can use the old GUI to load the file.  Or if you have an external I2C read/write module, you can load the intialization file that way.

  • Hi Tuan,

does TI has an evalution board with the TAS5558 with at least 6 output channels? I've only found the TAS5624ADDVEVM and the TAS5614LADDVEVM with two channels each.
