Power dissipation of TAS5704PAPR

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TAS5704

Hi Team,

Can you provide the Pd of TAS5704PAPR or Pd chart as below? Thanks,

Regards,

Ray Chien

  • Hi Ray,

This device is a quite old part, why don't you take a look to our latest generation closed-loop Audio amplifiers like the TAS5754/56 (with audio processing) or the TAS5760xx (no signal processing)?.

I will investigate if we have this information available.

  • Hi Diego,

This is the OEM design that the design is owned by end customer. So, they would keep their previous design using TAS5704.

This is an urgent reqeust from my customer to ask Pd data to update their customer tomorrow. So, I would appreciate if you can provide it today. Thanks.

    Regards,

    Ray

  • Hi, Ray,

Who is the OEM? This is a very old part, and I didn't think too many people were still using it.

As Diego mentioned, we don't have this data.

However, you can calculate power loss at a particular operating condition by using the efficiency plots shown in Figure 14 (8-ohm) and Figure 22 (4-ohm).

Section 9 of this app note has more details on this:

    -d2

  • Hi Sirs,
I made spreadsheet to address the power dissipation according to the TAS5704 datasheet in public domain.
