  • Hi Nat,

I will take a look at your issue.
I see BurnIn Test does not work fine with PCM2912 on your system, but does PCM2912 works fine as playback/recording device? (Not on BurnIn Test software)

  • Dear Ivan
I use TI PCM2912 for their audio application. I use Burn in software V8.1.
OS: Win7_64bit=> Failed to play back MIDI via sequencer
    OS: Win8_64bit=> Pass
We test PCM2912 (IC) and PCM2912 EVM.
Both are Failed to play back MIDI via sequencer on OS Win7_64bit but pass on OS Win8_64bit.
I think it could the Compliance issue.

Could you kindly help me about the situation? Very appreciate.

  • Hi Nat,

I have tested PCM2912A EVM on my Win7 x64 system. It is able to pass the test from BurnIn software.

Is PCM2912 properly selected as playback device on sound configuration before you perform the test?

  • Dear Ivan
Do you test "play back MIDI" in Burn in software?
    Thanks

  • Dear Ivan

    I test  PCM2912A.

    Thank you for your support.

    I have two question:

1.How long do you test MIDI play back function?

I test it one more hours and fail 2~3 cycle.

2.Is it the Compliance issue? (My CPU is Intel Broadwell-DE D-1559.)

  • Nat,

The complete test takes around 15 minutes. The MIDI file is played for 5.5 Sec each cycle.
There is no precedent of compliance issue other than what is explained in PCM2912 Errata but I will do some research to see if I find some similar issues.
