TAS5342LA BD modulation

Hi

TAS5342LA offers mode selection of BTL mode and PBTL mode, but we couldn't determine if it supports both AD modulation and BD modulation.

Can we use TAS5342LA for PBTL application with BD modulation.

    Hello,

    Yes the TAS5342LA supports BD modulation in PBTL since it offers 2 PWM input lines (2N) in PBTL.

    PBTL BD: 2N input mode only
    PBTL AD: 2N or 1N input mode

    The PWM modulator must be configured for BD modulation so that the correct PWM signals are generated. If the customer is concerned about audio performance, we have our HD TPA3244, TPA3245, TPA3250 and TPA3251 devices. TPA3244 and TPA3250 are pad down and do not require a heatsink.

    Thank you for your help.


    We want D-amp supporting PWM input and looking for alternatives of TAS5132 because TAS5132 doesn't support PBTL with BD modulation.

    We think TAS5342LA would be feasible replacement for TAS5132.
