Could anyone help to suggest the 470uF output capacitor of LM4940 ?

Is it ok to use film capactior or Tantalum capacitor ?

Both types of capacitor should work for the output filter.

If I use 12V input for LM4940, is a 6.3V/1000uF capacitor ok for the application ?
The output capacitor is used to block VDD/2 output DC voltage bias, I guess it's ok, right?

Hi Luke,

I think 6.3V/1000uF could work for the output capacitor. You just need to make sure that the output voltage won't trip over or is too close to the capacitor specification.
Yes, the output capacitor is used to block the VDD/2 DC bias voltage at the output.
