Hi Team,

The customer is using PCM2706C for their design. He would like to know the the output voltage range of DAC, that is the value for VOUTL and VOUTR.

The VCCL and VCCR are both 3.3V. I see the output voltage is 0.55VCL or 0.55VCCR on page10 of the data sheet.

Is the 0.55VCCL or 0.55VCCR the output voltage of DAC?

If not, what is the output voltage range value of DAC?

If it is the output voltage value of DAC, is the output voltage value of DAC 1.8V or from 0 to 1.8V?

The customer's requirement for DAC output voltage is from 0 to 5V. If the output voltage range is from 0 to 1.8V or the output voltage range can not meet the customer's requirement, is there any way to increase the voltage to meet customer's requirement ?

Hi Mickey,

The spec on page 10 of the datasheet for output voltage is correct. Output voltage is 1.8 Vp-p, if you take the output signal centered at 0V the output would go from -0.9V to 0.9V.
You can use an external amplifier to increase the output signal to the required range.

Thank you for your reply. You mean Output voltage is 1.8 Vp-p, not from 0 to 1.8V? I recommend TLV341A to the customer.

Yes, output voltage is 1.8Vp-p.
What do you mean by: from 0 to 1.8V? Output voltage is 1.8Vp-p so if you take an offset voltage of 0.9V, then the output would go between 0 and 1.8V.
