Hi TI,

I am looking for a Audio solution for my design.

Design requirements,

1) Headphone jack/ear peace output.

2) inbuilt miniature speaker output 4/8 ohms with 500mW maximum output.

3) Line out driver to connect external Class D amplifier to interface 5 to 10 W speaker.

Kindly suggest suitable DAC/CODEC and one external class D amplifier which can driver 5 to 10W speaker

    Hi, Shankar,

    I would recommend to take a look at the TLV320AIC32 and TLV320AIC3101. These devices support headphone and line outputs. Additionally, the line outputs can be connected to an external Class-D amplifier. However, they only support 8-ohms speaker with 500mW max output. The only codec/DAC that supports 4 ohms speaker output is the TLV320AIC3100/TLV320DAC3100. These codecs support speaker output and configurable headphone/line output.

    Regarding the external Class-D amplifier, I would recommend to take a look at the TPA3101D2. For more information about audio amplifiers, I would recommend to take a look at our Audio Amplifiers Forum ( e2e.ti.com/.../ ). They have more experience on this kind of devices.
