Hello,

I have noticed that the thermal performance of the DKD Package of the TAS5630 is better than the PHD (Page 3 of the datasheet).

However, in the new TAS5630B, the thermal performance of the PHD package have better than the DKD package (page 8 of the datasheet).

See below the screenshots.

I wonder if they might have been inverted in the datasheet of the new component ?

There was a change in the way that TI measured these thermal characteristics between the time the TAS5630 and TAS5630B were released, It appears that we have done thermal testing for the TAS5630 since the publication of that 2010 version of the TAS5630 datasheet. These updated values are shown below. They are pretty similar to the TAS5630B. I would recommend using these newer values.
