PCM2912A: Some questions of PCM2912A

Part Number: PCM2912A

Hi Sir,

Sorry to bother you.

We have use PCM2912A, some question need confirm

1. Does VOUT L/R, cap C1026/7 should be changed to 3.3uF?? because datasheet are 100u, EVM are 1u.

2. How to defined AGND and DGND?? Could you tell us which pin is to AGND  or DGND??

3. How to placement ID (Like MIC and speaker)?? Could you share your experience for us?

Thanks for your reply and happy new year !!

  • Hi, Shu-Cheng,

I have notified my colleague to take a look to your questions, however, the response might be delayed a couple days as he is out of the office on holiday. Thanks for the comprehension.

  • Hi LIN,

    1. 3.3uF should be fine for the output series capacitor, although this might chance the frequency response. EVM and Datasheet show 100uF.
    2. You can connect AGND, PGND and HGND to AGND and BGND and DGND to DGND.
    3. What do you mean by placement ID?

  • 1. 3.3uF is ok.. as it will block the DC.
    2. The ground reference used for the digital interface is Digital ground (Here USB, Control Signals) and ground used for Analog signal (Here VOUT L/R ) is AGND
    3, I didn't understand the question.
