Hi,
A customer purchased a PCM5142EVM-U. When he would use it on PPS(Home Audio), an error message appeared on PC screen, as below.
However, he checked that the device driver of PCM5142EVM-U had been installed normally.
Best regards,

Hi Ito-san,
The driver of the PCM5142EVM-U is not related to the FWID. FWID is used to indicate the EVM name so it can be recognized by the GUIs.
Can you please share the exact version of PPS that your customer is using?.

Hi, Ito-san,
Thanks for the feedback. The problem seems related to a possible corruption of the EEPROM in the EVM that stores the FWID information. As your customer mentioned, the evaluation of the EVM can be done without any issues by ignoring the FWID warning.
