TAS5717: Power shortage problem-TAS5717

Part Number: TAS5717

1 I use TAS5717 THD+N=1%,.12V power supply, 6 ohm speaker, now that the speaker output voltage is only 3.1V, I want to make the 8W sound, when the output voltage increases, there is the distortion of the situation, how do I do now?
in addition

2 I would like to do stereo to mono, both in the AB channel output, how should be configured

3 I only use the AB channel, then I am in the design of the circuit, it should be how to design the CD channel, directly suspended?

  • Hi Chen,

Can you please check below and confirm for me the problems you are having? I want to make sure I interpreted your questions correctly.

    1) Amp outputs 3.3V. Is this value peak to peak or amplitude? What is the gain/volume of the device at this point? What is the input to the device? Now when you increase the output peak-to-peak voltage above 3.3V you see distortion. What type of distortion is this? Can you provide a waveform of the before and after? Also checking the waveform at the power supply input of the device might help to determine if this issue is due to dips in the PVDD voltage.

2 and 3) You have a stereo input to the device and would like to output mono to only the AB channel? The AB output configured BTL and then the C and D outputs are unused correct?

    Regards,

    Alex
