tas5342la: Consideration of IVDD, IGVDD

Guru 16770 points
Part Number: TAS5342LA

Hi

Regarding to the datasheet,IVDD(typ) is 7.1mA, IVDD(max) is 17mA at operating 50% duty cycle.

1.

What is the meaning of condition of operating 50% duty cycle?
Is the condition of the pwm input?

2.

IVDD(max) is twice or more than typcal.

What condition can be expected for the current that increases to IVDD(max)?

3.

How about IGVDD?  Same way of thinking to IVDD?

BestRegards

  • Hi

    Do you have information?

  • Sorry for the delay.

    1. Yes 50% is the duty cycle of the PWM. This means the amp is on, not in reset, and no Audio is playing.

2 and 3. We don't expect IGVDD or IVDD to change much during operation provided that the PWM switching frequency is not changed. That being said, you should plan for supporting the MAX while expecting the number to be close to the Typical.
