TLV320AIC3110EVM-U: TLV320AIC3110EVM-U with external I2S input

I purchased the TLV320AIC3110 EVM and its working fine. I would like to hook up an external I2S interface to make sure it works well with my controller. I don't see any obvious way to hook up external BCLK, LRCK and DIN signals while disconnecting the onboard signals. Is there any way to disable the on-board controller and hook up my external signals via the TP's? If not, can I cut the traces and will it still work?

Additionally, My controller doesn't generate a MCLK so I'm assuming I can use BCLK for clocking the signals? I see on the software setup for the EVM that I can and wonder if you can recommend a script/configuration for using this method? We are using 48000hz, 16 bit, left justified, 1 bit delay, bit scaling factor of 256 and 3.3v digital logic.

I searched the forum and found that disabling the I2S is accomplished via I2S_ENABLE that is connected to P1.2.
