TAS3204 ADC Input Gain (0x1F)

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TAS3204

Hello,

if tryed to change the ADC Input Gain (register 0x1F) by the TAS3204, but it don´t have any effect.

What is the trick, i think a change of +30 or +60dB must be hearing ;-)

Best regards

Frank

p.s. Is any new release from PurePath-Studio available? I have the 1.88Build3 with the Biquad/Allpass-Bug ;-(

The TAS3x processors have a fixed ROM code that is the device silicon. The Data Sheet for this silicon lists the device I2C device mapping of the ROM.

When you use PurePath Studio, this ROM code is no longer used, and thus you must consult the I2C mapping of the software (via Tools>I2C Overview Window) in PPS. I highly recommend that you move all your gain manipulation into the Digital Audio Processor. The internal analog signal path is quite sophisticated as as a result, we have preset the analog signal path settings to optimize the audio quality. Scaling the gain digitally  will allow you to maintain the highest audio quality signal path throughout the device signal chain.

We are currently in the process of regression testing of the latest release, we will post it to the TAS3x - PurePath Studio Extranet when it is available.
