CCS / TLV320AIC3254:TLV320AIC3254 output Nose issue

Part Number: TLV320AIC3254
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPA3144D2

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Hello:

In the Ti scheme: TLV320AIC3254 is used for sound processing, the output audo signal is red, and the TPA3144D2 is amplified and sent to the Speaker.

in the audio codec, no I2S input is generated, and the Speaker generates a larger noise.

The solution is as follows:

1. Check line diagram, no problem, PCB Layout was looking for TI FAE Check.

2. External VDD power supply, TPA3144D2 power supply alone, Nose no change.

3.adjust ADC Gain, Gain below 0dB, Nose has obvious reduction, but terminal customers can not accept.

4. TPA3144d2 input signal is shorted to the GND and the Noise disappears.(conclusion closing TPA3144D2 is the best)

5. recommend the customer to turn off the TPA3144D2 power amplifier and send the audio detection circuit to the customer,

Bust the customer didn't use it because the processor GPIO was not enough

6.Reduce ADC Gain, while increasing PGA Gain, used to balance volume. But, Sound research  FAE does not agree with this method. (The end customer specifies the audio test and is held responsible by sound research)
