I have built my own TAS5548 + 3 TAS5624 board for car audio amplifier.

What are the differences between TAS5548 and TAS5558?

What is the current for each pin AVDD, DVDD1, DVDD2, AVDD_PWM?

One more question on TAS5548.
Is it possible use 12.288 MHz 3.3V external generator, connecting it to XTALI pin?

Which company are you designing this with?

The TAS5548 and TAS5558 are very similar, their registers are mostly the same and they are pin compatible. The difference being that TAS5558 accepts an external MCLK along with the usual I2S signals when the TAS5548 needs a crystal to clock and does not use an MCLK.

You can try this approach but I suggest the TAS5558 if you want to provide the signal externally instead of on board through a crystal.

Myself, this is my hobby. Earlier there was an option on TAS5086, but I want to lay the future version of the work with 7/8 channels. Thanks, I compared the two datasheets and found the differences. Sorry, was previously inattentive :(

If I understand correctly, both chips can be used on the same board, if

1. realize the possibility of feeding to XTALI pin 12,288MHz 1.8V. In datashit it is written that the data input is not tolerated above 1.8V. It is correct?

Please check out the TAS5548/58 EVM, it supports both devices and the documentation describes the differences:

Last question.
In the datasheet (TAS5558) there is no description of register 0x12 (Oscillator Trim).
In which document can I see it?

Andrew,

This is for the oscillator trim, if the device does not start up without writing this register, please write 0xC0 and it should work.
