Looking at the datasheet for the TLV320AIC3254-Q1 it specifically mentions echo cancellation which is a feature that i'm looking for. The eval module for the TLV320AIC3254-Q1 is the TLV320AIC3254EVM-K. Looking at this EVM in detail I see that it has the TLV320AIC3254 fitted to it. The datasheet for the TLV320AIC3254 has specifically had echo cancellation deleted from it's applications list.
Can I check that the the TLV320AIC3254 is in fact not suitable for echo cancellation and that the TLV320AIC3254-Q1 is suitable ?
HI, Michael,
Unfortunately, neither the 'AIC3254 or the 'Q1' version can support Echo cancellation. The datasheet of the automotive part was not updated to the latest format, hence, the mention about the AEC is still there. The miniDSP of these parts is not capable of performing a successful AEC algorithm, so an external DSP will be required for this.

Hi, Michael,
Correct, unfortunately the miniDSP in our devices doesn't have enough MIPs and memory to perform an effective AEC.
