TAS5558: AM Avoidance

Part Number: TAS5558

Hello

My customer will use TAS5558-TAS5142DKD for FY2018 product ( currently in ES situation).

Here customer had questions below.

Please advise.

Q1 Reg 0xDE bit D24

What is the difference between " Use Frequency Scaling"  and  "Use Sampling Rate Conversion Mode" ?

We can see the description of " Frequency Scaling"  on page 107 "8.3.1 Frequency Scaling AM Avoidance",

but I can not find detail description about "Sampling Rate conversion mode".

Q2 Reg 0xDE bit D24

Which is better between Use Frequency Scaling  and Use Sampling Rate Conversion Mode ? ( in case use ASRC or not use ASRC?)

Q3   Reg 0xDE bit D19:D18

What is the difference between Sequence 1~4 ? What is the internal operation on Sequence 1~4? Customer see following app note,

but we don't understand sequence 1~ 4 well.

This  app note suggests sequence2 as example , but it should be depend on application (layout).

Customer want to know technical background /principal in detail previously in order to reduce all of test sequence1~ sequence 4 .

It may have similar post, but please let me know again https://e2e.ti.com/support/amplifiers/audio_amplifiers/f/6/p/523398/1912807

Customer is testing their ES board, set sequence1, AM= 768KHz and AM mode enable, then they found switching frequency

moves from 384KHz to 360KHz. So, PWM swtiching frequency x 2 not equal to AM frequency  , but +/-20KHz should  be different

by AM avoidance function.

Best Regards
