Hello guys,

Does anyone knows why the TAS5631 in PBTL mode is not specified for 8 ohm load impedance ?

Is there something 'hidden' ? This PBTL mode works with 8 ohm impedance or not ?

Dominque, TAS5631 is not specified for 8ohm loads in PBTL simply because PBTL is expected to be used for higher power into lower impedances. Generally BTL operation is enough with 8ohm loads. But TAS5631 certainly will drive 8ohm loads in PBTL mode.

Many thanks for your quick feedback.

In fact I already +50V power supply, 8 ohm speakers, and I try to get as many output power as I can (speakers can handle 300 W RMS)

So TAS5631 in PBTL should be fine.
