LM4991: Characteristics above 20kHz

Part Number: LM4991

Hi,

My customer would like to use LM4991 at 25kHz.

However the characteristics(frequency vs Gain, THD+N) shown on the datasheet is below 20kHz as following.

(We're understanding that it is valid because LM4991 is audio amp)

Could you show me the characteristics above 20kHz if you have?

Best Regards,

Kuramochi

  • Hi TQ,

you can carefully extrapolate the curve with a slope of "factor 10 increase of THD" for each "factor ten increase of frequency". Or by other words, doubling the frequency will double the THD. But this will only be a rough estimation, of course.

  • Hi TQ,

We don't have a characterization data above 20KHz as this device is an audio amplifier and the hearing range is from 20Hz until 20KHz, so it is not necessary to add this data.
But this device may work above 20kHz, just keep in mind the THD+N should be lower than 10% in order to avoid distortion or clipping in the output signal.
