I notice that in the TAS5706A datasheets and EVM, DVDD and AVDD are both powered from the same line. Should AVDD not be powered from a separate regulator to reduce noise on the digital line?

    Hi, Andy,

    Argh, our pin naming convention is SO confusing, isn't it? They just make you want to do crazy stuff with all the different pins, don't they?

    Don't get stressed out, just follow the recommendations in our d/s and EVM. We've tested these, and the performance is great. You don't need to worry about separating out supplies; in fact, if you do, you might run into supply sequencing or voltage problems or who knows what. We use this as more of kind of filtering inside our IC. I know it doesn't make sense, but that's what we do...
