Hello, TI!

I using TAS3308 EVM. There is Optical Input(S/PDIF in I2S) on the board.

In User Guide speaks that 2-channels SPDIF receiver is present. But TAS3308 supported 6 synchronous I2S channels.

Is it possible to get 6 synchronous I2S channels from DIR9001 and direct them in TAS3308.

If it is impossible on DIR9001, maybe it is possible on other chip?

I just want to decode all channels from S/PDIF and direct them in TAS3308.

I don't think the optical interface is fast enough (coaxial is fine though), and the TAS3x devices can't decode DOLBY DIGITAL (tm) AC3 streams anyway. So you'll need some other DSP for the decoding, but otherwise it should work, and you could use the TAS3x device for volume control and adjusting the speaker delays at least, and do some downmixing and crossover for subwoofer in 2.0 mode. That side if you anyway have to use some "real" DSP then you don't proppebly need the TAS3x at all.

Does exist any decoders for decoding S/PDIF 5.1 into synchronous 5.1 I2S ?

This sounds similar to something one of my customers is up to. He wants to know what the smallest/cheapest DSP device he can use to mix down Dolby 5.1 to distribute to stereo speakers. Can anyone provide a recommendation?

TAS3x can decode a AC3 encoded stream into 5.1 channels, however it cannot downmix. I would recommend the DA7x family of Audio DSP.
