PCM1863: PCM1863 Quick Start

Part Number: PCM1863

A short  question regarding the PCM1863. Do you have something like a quickstart instruction for initialise the controller in "defaultmode" via I2C?

Thank´s for your help.

  • Felix, Welcome to e2e forum.

If you are evaluating the PCM186x family using our EVM, the easiest way to configure the device would be using the PurePath Console 2 GUI which allows you to configure the device using graphical block diagram for each block and signal routing inside the device. Please use the link below to request the access (if you have not done it already). This is quite straight forward and you can configure the device w. ease for any use case.

Click on the 'REQUEST' button for PCM1864EVMGUI and you will be able to download the same. Thanks.

  • I don´t use the EVM. Actually I´m using the IC just to meassure some small analog levels. I2C interface with PIC32 is working and the ACK´s get send. Now it´sI just about the configuration of the IC in defaultmode as easy as possible. I can´t find someting like that in the datasheet.

  • Hi Felix,

The device is powered up w. default values (as outlined in the DS) for the registers. Please outline any specific requirements that you are config6xuring the device to function in and we can provide the required I2C register write commands to achieve the same. This will allow you to use your host processor to send the I2C commands to get PCM186x configured for your application.

    Best regards,
