TAS5715EVM: TAS5715EVM Eval Mod doesn't work

TAS5715EVM Eval Mod we bought this Mod and installed it according to TI instruction manual. But It always has problems.

1. It showed a read data "00" which should be "6C".

2. We have tried in 4 laptop (3Win 7 1Win XP), and also we changed the USB cable to try the connection. got same situation.

3. The computer hardware connection shows "unknown" with connected the Mod after installed the driver.

Please help to analysis what 's wrong and how can I get it work on.Thanks!

Did you follow the procedure in the attached document:

Without this, it will not work.

yes we did follow the procedure in the attached document.

Please make sure the environment variables is "54" as you guide in the attached document for TAS5715 .

Is that a possible because the environment variables should not be "54" ?

Scarlett,

The environment variable needs to be 54.

Please check Control Panel > Device Manager where you see the "Unknown" device, right-click on the device and select Properties, in the Details tab, please let me know what you see listed for Hardware IDs.

Hi Adam,
It shows "the driver has problem or has not installed the driver yet" in the Normal tab after right-click on the device and select properties.
And shows"unknown" in the Details tab

That is what I saw as requested operation.

Just tell you that we only installed "GDESetup.msi" already.
Do you have other driver software that need to be installed ?

Do you have a second EVM you can try, maybe this EVM has a problem?

Hi Adam,

We do not have a second EVM to try. We bought only this EVM from the dealer company name 'Mouser' not even one month. Could You please left massage here to let Mouser to change another good EVM or return money to us

As they told me we have to get an approval or evidence from here e2e to let them know TI has agreed with that.

Besides.We have already delayed the time to our customer for the sample which is waiting this EVM to adjust the sound.

Scarlett,

I think your EVM has a problem, I think Mouser can exchange it.

If not, please provide your address here and I will send you one.

Thank You for You kind help on this here.I have forwarded thi conclusion to the dealer Monser. They asked me to wait for they confirm with TI.please note that I am just waiting till they resolve this for me.Thank you.
