TAS5717: Asking for the TAS5717 clock error and no sound output relation

Hi Team,
Customer uses TAS5717 and sometimes it will do not has the sound output. (the fail situation can be duplicate once in 100times. fail rate 1%) The I2S is from audio codec. The audio codec won't send the I2S all the times.

audio codec I2S measured waveform and frequency by scope. the waveform are looks good.
1. MCLK=BCLK=3.072MHz
2.WCLK=48KHz

Questions:
1. for the 0x00 register, TAS5717 report 0x6C.(256*fs) . Will this resulted in no sound output?
2. if customer did not clear the 0x02 error indicator registers, will that resulted in no sound output?
3. Can customer send I2C command to TAS5717 without I2S? Right now, TAS5717 will only be config once the mother board power-up. The codec would not send any I2S signal to TAS5717.
However, the sounds still can output.

1. Sound should work, this is fine.
2. No need to clear these, sound will still work assuming the errors are fixed.

Hi Adam,
to avoid mislead on the E2E.
I would like to update that the result TAS5717 I2S wrong clock has the chance to resulted in 0x05 in shutdown mode.
This issues was discussed with SH team. Please aligned the issue if you have chance.
