PCM2706: PCM2706 can't output Analog DAC when Function select I2S

Hello:

We have an customer found that PCM2706 can't output Analog DAC when Function select I2S,but it's ok that Function select S/PDIF output Analog DAC,can we help solve this problem.

Jorry,

Maybe a quick test would be to probe the FUNC0 - FUNC3 pins to validate the presence of the other I2C signals when FSEL is in the I2S mode since I2S is a multi-line protocol while S/PDIF would only be utilizing the DOUT pin.

Perhaps secondary to that, could you provide more details concerning the complete setup?

Hi Kevin:
The FUNC0-FUNC3 pins I2C signals is ok when FSEL is in the I2S mode,but the VOUTR and VOUTL pins could't output audio signals.When FSEL is in the S/PIDF mode,VOUTR and VOUTL pins can output audio signals.
Is the VOUTR and VOUTL have correlation with FSEL in I2S or S/PIDF mode?

Jorry,

Inherently in I2S versus S/PDIF modes the behaviors of the FUNC pins changes. What are these pins connected to when you are in S/PDIF mode? When in I2S mode can you read the SPI register to check the status of the HID bits?
