SRC4193: Bypass mode

Part Number: SRC4193

Hi,

I am considering using one of the SRC419x devices, it will have variable bit depth and sampling rates in but  I want the output locked to 16bit 44.1KHz, is it possible to detect when the input is the same as the locked output and then switch to bypass mode?.

  • Russel,

The rate estimator compares the input and output sampling frequencies by comparing LRCKI, LRCKO, and a reference clock.

If the input and output sampling rate/formats are the same, the device cannot enable the bypass mode unless we can externally enable the BYPAS bit in control register or BYPAS pin.

    Best regards,
