LM4810: LM4810_ pop noise

Part Number: LM4810

Hi

I has a application use LM4810 but I control PIN5 (shutdown) hi to lo will has  pop noise, how to I design can inhibition issue.

  • Hi,

This is a single-ended output device, so the outputs are centered at mid-supply voltage; pop is expected on this kind of drivers. You could increase bypass capacitor to make a longer charge/discharge ramp to reduce pop, or you can also try to place additional high value resistors along the signal path to provide a better discharge path for output coupling capacitors.

What are your system requirements? You could take a look at our TPA613x family of headphone amplifiers that have internal charge-pump so that outputs are GND-centered, reducing/eliminating pop during power cycle.

  • Cb I put 10uF, but after I turn off the mute, there will still be pop, put 10K in Vout, still not improved.
