TAS5614: Regarding the load impedance of TAS5614

According to the specification of this IC (TAS 5614), the recommended load impedance in BTL mode is Minimum 3 ohm.
I want to use it at 2.5 Ohm, but can I use if I take care the peak current ?
In my plan, the peak current is 11 A. In the specification sheet, the shutdown detection current is 15 A.

Power supply voltage : 25V
Max power output : 120W at THD10% , and 150W at THD30%

Hi Yagishita-san,

There are several limiting factors in your setup. The supply voltage being 25V will greatly limit the maximum power you'll be able to achieve. At 25V you would only be able to get about 105W out of a 3ohm load in BTL.

I would recommend using the TAS5614LA in PBTL mode if you want to get higher output powers using a 2.5ohm load and PVDD = 25V.

Hi Yagishita-san,

As long as you are using the TAS5614LA in PBTL mode then there should be no problem. If it's in BTL mode however, I don't believe you can reach the specs that you are looking for.
