PCM1863: Connecting 2 Inputs together

Part Number: PCM1863

Hello all,

I would like to know if it is a valid design option to connect two input pins together on the PCM1863.

I would like to use a single 3 Pin header to connect either a single ended microphone (right channel) or alternatively connect a differential microphone (left channel). The attached graphic illustrates this.

As shown Pin 4 and 29 are connected in this case. Using a 0 Ohm resistor to selectively connect the lines is not possible in this layout.

Is the shown schematic a valid design when using the PCM1863?

Best regards,

Achim
