TAS5729MD: Asking for the TAS5729 bst cap tolerance

Part Number: TAS5729MD

Hi team,
Do we have the TAS5729 bst cap tolerance? What is the lowest and highest cap value that will impact the MOSFET turn on?

  • hello, it is proposed to use 0.33uF BST CAP proposed on datasheet. In case customer dont have, 0.47uF/1uF Bootstrap capacitors are a little large. When the amplifier is powered up, it takes more charging time for the larger Bootstrap capacitors. While we need to make sure the charged voltage on Bootstrap capacitors are large enough after start-up. So during the power-up, if the capacitors are too large under the case that you showed previously(the input signal frequency is very low…), there is a possibility that the voltage on Bootstrap capacitors are too low. So if there is no input signal during power-up, it’s OK to use 0.47/1uF capacitors.
