OPA1692: ESD problems

Part Number: OPA1692

Dear all,

I want to use the OPA1692 for three new products, because they fit theoretically perfect in our applictaion. But we made ESD tests according to EN 61000-4-2. All products have TVS protection diodes at the in- and outputs which we use since years without any problems. Unfortunelty the OPA1692 (SOIC 8) fails very often at ESD voltages over 1kV. Other standard OPs do not fail. The inputs of the OPA1692 get a short circuit to the rails. It seems that the internal protection diodes of the OPs are a bit too week.
Is this a problem with a specific batch or do I have use protection diodes close to every OPA1692?

All the best
Burkhard
