DIX4192-Q1: What's the difference between DIX4192-Q1 and DIR9001-Q1 regarding the receiving function?

The DIX419x devices were actually released about 8 months before the DIR9001 and they do not share the same receiver interface for the S/PDIF signal inputs.  The DIX4192 utilizes a differential input receiver while the DIR9001 implements a single-ended receiver.  The DIR9001 therefore would require some additional circuitry if it’s meant to receive a small-signal differential signal like the DIX4192 can accept.  A similar circuit can be seen in Figure 14 of the DIX4192 datasheet.

 The DIR9001 is compliant to the jitter and other IEC specifications, but does not implement a differential RX signal path like the DIX4192 which looks to be more fully compliant with differential input level IEC specifications as well.
