Hi, Ueli,
Could the customer try few steps in order to try to isolate the root cause?
Could he uninstall all the drivers and software and try again with the procedure of sections 2.1.1 and 2.1.2 of User's Guide?
www.ti.com/.../slou233.pdf
Please ensure that the shunts described in section 2.1.2 are correct. Otherwise, you may have communication errors from the PC to the EVM.
Please let me know if the problem persists.

Hi Luis,
The first instruction is to insert the CD into the PC, but I did not receive a CD with the demokit. I instead went to device manager & attempted to update the driver from the C:\Program Files (x86)\Texas Instruments Inc\TPA6140A2 Interface folder, which includes the TIAudioI2C_1F20_8p5.inf file. That is when I got the error message from above.
Do you have the CD with the correct driver that you could send to me or can you point me to an online location for it?
Any help on this would be great.
thanks,
Darrell

Darrell,
I think the driver is included int he TPA6140A2EVM GUI:

Could you try the indications of this old e2e thread, please?

Thank you.

Right, the GUI includes that driver INF, but when I try to update the driver with that INF I get the "3rd party inf does not contain digital signature" error. I also tried uninstalling all National Instruments instances as well as the TP6140 & then doing a complete reinstall, but I got the same results.
I have a feeling that the driver needs to be updated to include the digital signature for current versions of windows. Do you know if that updated version of the driver exists or would we have to elevate this to get the outdated driver updated?
Hi, Darrell,
Thank you for your feedback. I will contact our software team in order to get more information about it. I will come back with more details about the driver.
Best regards,
Luis Fernando Rodríguez S.
Hi, Darrell,
I already received a feedback from the software team. Unfortunately, as you correctly mentioned, the drivers for the current Windows versions have not been developed yet. There's no specific plan to develop the tool this month. The software team has been already informed about this situation and will include in the drivers update in the pending tools list.
I apologize for this situation. I will notify you in case I receive any update.
Best regards,
Luis Fernando Rodríguez S.
