TAS2110: I2C voltage

Part Number: TAS2110
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TAS2557

Team,

What is the I2C voltage level? Is it limited by 1.8V VDD? My customer's system has 3.3V I2C only. If TAS2110 I2C is limited by 1.8V, can TAS2557 work with 3.3V  level I2C? Thank?

Best regards,

Andy Chu

  • Hi Andy,

TAS2110 only supports VDD = 1.8V. I2C is based on this VDD voltage. You would need level-shifters to translate from 3.3V on the system to 1.8V for TAS2110.

For TAS2557, IOVDD can be up to 3.3V, so for this device you could interface directly with I2C from system 3.3V.
