TPA6166A2: MOUTP/MOUTN is biased??

Dear TI team,

Are MOUTP/MOUTN biased by TPA6166A2?

As per our observation, it seems not biased.

I am wondering if I should insert capacitor between our audio codec mic input and TPA6166A2 MOUTP/N outout.

If not biased by TPA6166A2, I think I should bias MOUTP/MOUTN externally so that audio codec can receive signal correctly.

If biased by TPA6166A2, capacitor should be inserted between our audio codec mic input and TPA6166A2 MOUTP/N outout. so that bias from Audio Codec might be at different level from bias from TPA6166A2.

Hi, Matsuda,

The TPA6166A2 has an output common mode of 0.4 x MICVDD. This level should be enabled once the device is fully enabled. What is the output level you see on each output when the device is enabled and not muted?

Hi Luis-san,

Voltage level center is 56mV.

MICVDD is around 3V in our HW.

So Voltage level should be around 1.2V.

What sw setting is needed to enable common mode of 0.4xMICVDD??

Thank you for your feedback. Do you have different results if you enable the MICBIAS and MIC_AMP with register 1 / bits 3-4?
