DRV593: What's the key features to make the device DRV593 be more suitable for the TEC driver compared with normal BUCK

as you know the device DRV593 can be used as TEC driver. But from the internal circuit, it is similar as the buck converter. Whether we can use a buck for the TEC requirement. What's the key features to make the device DRV593 be more suitable for the TEC driver? Thanks.
