hi 

I want to know TLV320DAC3101's power consumption with specific voltage condition when it plays sound. 

condition : playback to 8Ohm stereo speakers, slave mode(0dB FS 1kHz signal) 

example : 

AVDD 3.3V, ?? mA, SLVDD 3.9V ?? mA, SRVDD 3.9V ?? mA, HVDD 3.3V ?? mA, DVDD 1.8V ?? mA, IOVDD 3.3V mA 

total power consumption is ?? mW

    Thanks for your reply.

    I already checked the application note before you let me know.

    But I thought the document hadn't the information of power consumption with playing sounds.

    According to 2.1 Test Setup on the document, after the sound is stopped, the current measurement is taken.

    Could you check it?

    Please find the current measurements for each power supply below:

    AVDD:2.95 mA
    SLVDD: 11.5mA
    SRVDD:24.3 mA
    HVDD: 7.11 mA
    DVDD: 2.93 mA
    IOVDD: 10uA

    Thank you for your support.

    According to your result, TLV320DAC3101 consume only total 178.125mW when it play sounds with playback to 8Ohm stereo speakers, slave mode(0dB FS 1kHz signal).

    Am I correnct in understanding ? 

    I want to check one more clearly due to very small power consumption.

    Hi, Jeonghwa,

    I apologize for my late response. We have faced many issues on E2E and we lost some threads. I retook the data in order to verify the current for SPLVDD and SPRVDD. You were correct, these values were for a no load connection. The current values that I got with the 8ohms loads are:

    AVDD = 12.1 mA
    SLVDD = 47.3 mA
    SRVDD = 48.2 mA
    HVDD = 17.7 mA
    DVDD = 2.93 mA
    IOVDD = 10 uA

    These values result in a power consumption of 476 mW. The output power results in ~420 mW under these conditions.
