Hello Team,
One of my customer is using TLV320AIC3109-Q1 with one mic input and one audio output on LEFT_LOP/LOM.
They want to route the MIC signal through ADC directly to DAC, to driver a speaker amp (TAS5411) connected on the output LEFT_LOP/LOM.
Is this possible?
As per functional block diagram on page 16 of datasheet, using SW-D1, ADC data can be directly routed to DAC. Is my understanding correct? how to configure this switch?
or
Do they need to read the ADC data out of CODEC and feed it back again to DAC?
Regards,
Mahendra
Hello Mahendra,
If the goal is to get Analog In to Analog Out, the best way is to use the PGA bypass path. The output of the PGA can be directly routed to the LEFT_LOP/M output driver. Another option is to directly connect DOUT to DIN. This loopback is supported but only necessary if some of the digital filters would like to be used.
Using SW-D1 is not an option as this switch is only closed in a "Record Only" mode. Part of the criteria for this switch to close is to power down the DAC.

Aaron
