PCM1808-Q1: Recommendation of GND pattern

Hello Team,

PCMM1808-Q1 has AGND, DGNG pin which need to connect with Ground.

Q. Do you have any recommendation how to design the layout pattern. Example layout is very helpful for me to understand.

Q. When I see the PCM1808-Q1 EVM schematic, It seems there is large ground plane under the IC. The AGND and DGND are connected directly with the plane. If customer can't prepare the ground plane under the IC, what is the recommendation?

This is urgent request from customer, so I would like you to answer these question today. Sorry for short due date.

    Hello,

    1.)  Please review the newly refreshed PCM1808EVM layout:  https://www.ti.com/tool/PCM1808EVM

    2.)  Our recommendation for best performance will be to carefully route analog and digital return currents away from each other and then to use a solid GND plane.  If the AGND and DGND must be on separate planes, then they should be joined directly under the PCM1808EVM.
